Game Center
The Game Center (/games/) is every built-in browser game in one
place — no telnet client, no per-game setup, just log in and click
Play. Most games track your score on a shared leaderboard
(/games/scoreboard).
Puzzle
- Hangman — guess the hidden word one letter at a time before the
hangman is fully drawn. - Trivia Challenge — multiple-choice questions across categories.
- Number Guesser — a number 1-100, guess it in as few tries as
you can. - Memory Match — flip cards, find the matching pairs.
- Minesweeper — clear the minefield without triggering a mine.
- 2048 — slide and merge tiles to reach the 2048 tile.
- Tetris — falling blocks with ghost piece, hard drop, and
wall-kick rotation.
Action
- Snake — eat, grow, don't hit the walls.
- Galaga — arcade shooter, waves of aliens, dive-bombing bosses.
- Breakout — Arkanoid-style brick breaker with power-ups (wide
paddle, multi-ball, laser cannon). - ANetDarkForces — a first-person raycasting shooter, ANetBBS's
own take on the genre. Raid the Dark Forces' hideout across a
10-sector campaign — 7 weapons, 8 enemy types, secrets, keycard
vaults, explosive barrels. 3 save slots tied to your account.
Strategy
- Tic Tac Toe — against a real AI opponent, not a coin flip.
- Meadowlark Valley — an original town/farm-builder sim, by
far the deepest game in the Center. Has its own wiki page.
Cards & Casino
- Klondike Solitaire — drag-and-drop, build all four suits Ace to
King. - Video Poker — Jacks or Better, with a full paytable.
- Texas Hold'em — no-limit, up to 4 CPU opponents (Easy, Medium,
or Hard). - Blackjack — hit, stand, double down, split.
- Slot Machines — three themed machines: Classic Bars, Lucky
Fruits, Retro BBS.
Blackjack, Video Poker, Hold'em, and Slots share a play-money wallet
economy — a starting balance per game that resets every Monday if you
go broke. See Doors for how that's implemented.
RPG & other
- Text Adventure — a classic parser-based dungeon crawl (
go north,take key,look, ...). - Ebook Reader — search and read free public-domain
classics from Project Gutenberg, with bookmarks and reading history.
Has its own wiki page. - Typing Speed Test — measure your WPM against a passage.
Terminal doors (not in the browser Game Center)
Not everything is a web game. ANetCRAFT (a bundled
Minecraft-inspired survival game), LORD (Legend of the Red
Dragon), and shareware DOOM/Duke Nukem 3D (playable in-browser
via an emulator, no telnet/SSH needed) are classic doors, launched the
same way any other door is. Full rundown: Doors.
